I bought two of these for my vehicles. Both are mounted on the left side of the steering wheel by the A-pillar, and I use them to watch the vehicle speed because it is way easier that looking down at the speedometer. Just like the product images show, I have set the additonal parameters to the Average Fuel Economy, Instant Fuel Economy, and Charging Voltage. I highly recommend these for quality, ease of use, and data available.
