This H1 HID/LED Headlight Lock Base Bulb Adapter is needed if upgrading H1 halogen headlight bulb with an H1 HID or LED conversion kit on a Honda vehicle. To install this H1 adapter, first remove the H1 retainer from the H1 LED bulb, slide the adapter over the bulb from the top down, and re-install the H1 retainer. If the H1 bulb ring is shorter than the adapter, then the adapter needs to be cut off for the ring to fit back onto the bulb with the adapter under it. Cutting can be done by a dremel tool cutting ring or a hack saw. The more accurate the cut the more tighter the bulb will be secured in the headlight.
