The Truth About LED Lumen Ratings

Lumen output is one of the most misleading and inaccurately reported specifications by LED kit manufacturers. In an effort to outshine the competition, many manufacturers advertise exaggerated theoretical lumen values. These inflated claims are then passed down to resellers and ultimately to customers—creating a cycle of misinformation that leads buyers to choose LED kits based on numbers that don't reflect real-world performance.

To bring clarity and accuracy to this issue, we invested in a professional lumen testing globe. The results were eye-opening. With this tool, we can now independently measure and report the true lumen output of each LED kit we carry.

So far, we've tested our three brightest LED series. Here's how they ranked based on actual measured lumens:
