Extreme caution is required when installing these bulbs. If too much pressure is put on the bulb at an angle, the bulb tabs can bend and lose their firmness, making it then impossible for the bulbs to stay in the fog lamp. H16 bulb just need to be pressed into the fog lamp, not twisted or installed in any other way. It is absolutely crucial to have the bulb tabs are aligned perpendicular to the fog lamp before pushing them in.

    Fog lights

Nice and bright lights, only reason that I have it 4/5 is because the twist connector doesn’t quite fit properly (2019 GMC Sierra 3500), so the dealership had to glue and tape the bulbs into place so that moisture wouldn’t get in and so that they wouldn’t fall out. HVC Reply: Hi Gabe, it is very likely that the installer broke off a tab or tabs, and then had to glue the bulbs in, blaming the bulbs. I've installed many of these myself, and if one is not careful how they are inserted, forcing them in the fog light opening, the upper and lower tabs can bend toward the center of the bulb, and if continued force is applied, eventually break off. Then the only way to get them to stay in then, is to tape them onto the fog light body. They push in, not twist in, and you should hear two clicks when inserted correctly. On some installs, I had used the thinner o-ring from the H16 incandescent bulb to make it easier to fit into the fog light.
