INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 – Mirror Removal
The mirror glass comes out quite easily using the large suction cup included in the kit, but you must be ever so gentle not to bend it to a point where it could crack. There are only two metal slide-in clips into which two plastic tongues located on the glass slide in. Both are located toward the outside of each mirror (see photos). Side note: Before putting the glass back on, spray the clips with lithium lubricant and they went in much easier.
Step 2 – Plastic Cover Removal
The hardest part of this install was figuring out how to take off the top part of the mirror. Basically start at the bottom lip and with medium force push the whole cover up. There are no screws to undo.
Step 3 – Connections & LED Light Install
There are 2 heater cables on the mirror which have to be undone, and one larger power cable.
The dynamic signal light is held in place by only 1 screw. The power wire is plug’n’play so there is nothing to worry about. When installing the new one, slide it into the side hole first and then gently lift it over a lip along the inside of the mirror back; otherwise the one screw hole won’t line up.
Note: Do Not start the vehicle while the mirror is apart. It will generate an error code.
